Our History
We’re proud to have been at the forefront of our industry for more than 70-years as we continue to learn, innovate, and grow.
In 1953, Keith Brazier opened a surveying practice in Tully in North Queensland. His work gradually took him into the nearby Ingham area until 1960, when he moved to Townsville to commence work on major residential estates.
Mr Laurie Motti joined the firm in 1964. Brazier Motti grew steadily, opening offices in the Northern Territory in the 1980s. Here we provided surveying services for the land development industry and the defence infrastructure build-up in Darwin and Katherine.
In the early 1990s, the company saw the opportunity of diversifying into other markets. This resulted in the opening of offices in Cairns, the Burdekin and Mackay. A western office also operated at Cloncurry during this time.
Throughout our history, we’ve proudly remained a locally owned business with deep roots in the communities in which we work. We continue to be a family-business, with Directors who remain closely involved with our clients and community and a record of long-serving team members. Our staff, their families, our clients and the communities in which we live and work are not just part of our mission statement – they are the reason we do what we do.
Our story is closely aligned with Northern Australia, which has also grown and evolved over the past 70 years. We’re privileged to have played our role in the development of our region.
