Celebrating 70 years

In 2023 Brazier Motti celebrated a major milestone – 70 years in Town Planning, Land Surveying, Project Management and Mapping & GIS in Northern Australia.
It’s been a privilege to play our part in supporting North Queensland, Far North Queensland and Northern Australia. We’re proud to be able to contribute to the Planning and Surveying disciplines, the industries we work with, and the local communities we call home.
We’re excited by what we’ve been able to achieve over the past 70-years in business – and even more so by what the future holds for us as the North continues grow.
Thank you to all of our team members, clients, stakeholders and the community for your support over the past 70-years. We look forward to continuing to work with you in our next chapter and beyond.

Brazier Motti is pleased to be involved with North Queensland’s new Designated Area Migration Agreement. This initiative is being led by the region’s Economic Development organisation Townsville Enterprise.

Townsville is growing. Now the region needs to grow its skilled workforce to help deliver key services. This new initiative will allow access to a new migration pathway to help fill critical positions that can’t be found locally so that our economy can continue to grow.

The Mandatory Planning (Walkable Neighbourhoods) Amendment Regulation 2020 has now been introduced by the Queensland Government. This new Regulation comes into effect from the 28th of September, creating new requirements for the subdivision of land.

Under the legislation, new benchmarks requirements have been created, including:

  • Grid like patterns that respond to the local landscape
  • A maximum street of less than 250m
  • A minimum of one tree every 15m
  • Footpaths on at least one side of the road
  • Parks and open space within 400m of each block

There is some flexibility where the local landscape affects the ability to meet these requirements.

Our experienced Brazier Motti planning team have a comprehensive understanding of these new requirements and are ready to discuss how it might affect your project and how we can help you achieve workable solutions.
